Soong Tomas Kim, AIA, NCARB
Soong Tomas Kim built STK :a with a foundation of over 30 years of extensive experience in architecture, planning, and development. He has honed his expertise through a multidisciplinary approach that seamlessly integrates the aesthetic and economic facets of architectural design.
After graduating UC Berkeley, Soong went out the gates into his career to go above and beyond the conventional expectations of an architect. From Barry Berkus he learned importance of residential architecture and its values. At Olen Properties, he focused on development and construction, while at KB Home, he specialized in land planning.
Soong's design philosophy centers around the principle of “numbers first,” emphasizing the importance of economic viability in achieving architectural success. This pragmatic approach, coupled with his creative vision, has consistently resulted in successful and sustainable projects.
Beyond his professional achievements, Soong is a dedicated husband and father. He has married up to his wife for 27 years with two boys attending USC and UCLA. A tennis enthusiast, Soong enjoys playing competitively and looks forward his annual trips to Indian Wells, where he can unwind and enjoy watching the sport.
